President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian met with the organizers of Manowin, the National Creative Industries Event, to discuss development plans and opportunities in the creative industries sector. During the meeting, the President emphasized the importance of establishing an actionable roadmap, conducting thorough market assessments, and ensuring the targeted allocation of resources. Dr. Seyed Mohammad Hossein Sajjadi Nayeri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Iran Venture Capital Association, also attended the meeting.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Iran Venture Capital Association, a meeting to introduce Manowin, the National Creative Industries Event, was held on Saturday, October 10, 2026. The meeting was attended by the President, the Vice Presidents responsible for Science, Technology and the Knowledge-Based Economy and for Women and Family Affairs, the Secretary of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, the President of the Chamber of Commerce, and a number of officials and event organizers.
During the meeting, a report outlining Manowin’s objectives and planned activities was presented. Discussions addressed the economic potential of creative industries, strengthening cultural identity, expanding domestic and international markets, and creating employment opportunities.
President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized the need to develop a strategic and operational plan for the growth of creative industries. He identified establishing a clear vision and defining implementation priorities as essential steps in advancing the sector’s development. He also expressed the government’s readiness to remove legal and administrative barriers, provide the necessary infrastructure, and support businesses and stakeholders operating in creative industries.
One of the President’s key priorities was ensuring a thorough understanding of products and markets before making resource allocation decisions. Pezeshkian stressed the importance of clearly identifying product types, production volumes, quality standards, and target markets. He called for development plans based on the actual needs and economic capacities of businesses operating in the sector.
The President also highlighted the need to modernize traditional handicrafts and adapt their products to evolving market demands. He emphasized the importance of preserving cultural authenticity while incorporating innovation into product design and production and improving product quality. He further stressed the need to involve producers, entrepreneurs, and other industry stakeholders in developing the creative industries development plan.
Drawing on academic knowledge and expertise and translating specialized recommendations into actionable programs were among the other topics discussed. Pezeshkian also called for identifying the capacities and comparative advantages of individual provinces and developing tailored plans that reflect each region’s cultural resources, production capabilities, and economic opportunities.
Dr. Seyed Mohammad Hossein Sajjadi Nayeri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Iran Venture Capital Association, also attended the meeting. Several topics discussed, including market development, support for creative businesses, and targeted resource allocation, are closely related to financing and investment challenges within the innovation ecosystem. In this context, strengthening connections among innovators, producers, investors, and supporting institutions is among the priorities of the Manowin event.
Manowin, the National Creative Industries Event, will take place from October 13 to 15, 2026, at the Isfahan International Exhibition Center, with the support of the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy. The event will feature three main components: an exhibition, a festival, and calls for support applications. Its objectives include showcasing achievements in creative industries, expanding market opportunities, facilitating product commercialization, and connecting creative businesses with investment and financing opportunities.
