The 87th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Iran National Venture Capital Association—marking the first official session of its sixth term—was held on October 4, 2023, from 16:30 to 18:30. This session served to formally launch the activities of the new Board and elect the members of the Board’s executive committee.
The meeting began with a welcome to the Board members, followed by a presentation of the internal election procedures. Attendees discussed the importance of unity and synergy moving forward and proceeded to elect individuals to key positions.
The election results were as follows:
- Mr. Seyed Mohammad Hossein Sajadi Neiri was elected as Chairperson of the Board.
- Mr. Arash Faravashi was elected as Vice Chairperson of the Board.
- Mr. Siavash Samimi was elected as Treasurer.
The appointment of the Association’s Secretary was postponed to the next session to allow for further discussion and consultation among members.
The remainder of the meeting focused on future plans and the Board’s strategic priorities. Members emphasized the need for sustained collaboration and active participation in advancing the venture capital ecosystem. The Board also underscored the importance of pursuing these initiatives diligently and forming specialized committees to achieve the Association’s objectives.
The Association’s Secretariat congratulated the newly elected members, wished them success in their responsibilities, and affirmed its full support for the new Board as a top organizational priority.
