The specialized event titled “Introduction to Innovative Financing Instruments” was held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the conference hall of the Tabriz Automotive Technology Industrial Park. The event aimed to address the specific needs of industrial and manufacturing units based in the provinces of East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, Ardabil, and Zanjan.
CEOs of Technology and Innovation Funds from the Northwestern provinces of Iran participated in the panel, presenting their experiences and showcasing the available financing capacities in their respective regions.

Key topics discussed during the event included modern financing methods for technology-based industries, the role of Innovation and Technology Funds in supporting knowledge-based enterprises, and mechanisms for collaboration between the funds and the production sector. The participating CEOs elaborated on the financial tools and services provided by their respective organizations and answered questions from the audience regarding how to access these resources.
The session also featured exchanges on the common challenges faced by industrial units in accessing financial resources, and strategies were proposed to enhance the effectiveness of interactions between the funds and the private sector.
The event was supported by the National Association of Venture Capital and aimed to strengthen the connection between financing institutions and regional technology industries. Acting as a facilitator, the Association managed the planning, coordination, and execution of the event and enabled direct engagement between fund CEOs and economic stakeholders. Within the framework of this specialized panel, operational experiences in financing knowledge-based companies were shared.
The Association’s central role in this event extended beyond facilitating dialogue between financial service providers and their clients. It also focused on cross-provincial networking, identifying local financing capacities, and promoting successful venture capital models. By pursuing a strategy of regional engagement, the Association sought to foster synergy, mutual experience-sharing, and bilateral and multilateral cooperation among fund managers.
This event was also aligned with the Association’s broader mission to support the balanced development of the innovation financing ecosystem nationwide and served as a platform to more accurately assess the role of provincial funds within the national financial system.
