Co-investment has become a core instrument in venture capital for scaling investment capacity and managing risk. Yet experience shows that success in co-investment depends far less on pooling capital and far more on the quality of joint decision-making, alignment of interests, role clarity, and effective conflict management. When these elements are overlooked, the cost is often missed opportunities and expensive decisions.
With this perspective, the Iranian Venture Capital Association, in collaboration with the Investment Companies Commission, is hosting the experience-sharing event “Co-Investment: Practical Lessons from the Field.” This peer-level, industry-driven session is designed to move beyond theory and focus on what actually happens in real co-investment processes.
The panel brings together senior investment leaders with hands-on experience in co-investment structures and outcomes, including:
- Ali Mousavi, Managing Director, Iran-France Investment Company
- Meysam Zargarpour, Managing Director, Rayan Ventures
- Ali Nazemi, Vice President of Investment, Innovation and Prosperity Fund
- Sina Hassanalizadeh, Managing Director, Pishgam Ventures
- Ahmad Farahani, Investment Director, Farzanegan Company
The session will take place on Monday, February 15, from 14:00 to 18:00, at the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture. Attendance is in person with limited capacity, and prior registration is required.
This event offers a practical space for CEOs and investment managers to reflect on successful and unsuccessful co-investment experiences, identify reliable patterns for collaboration, and strengthen professional interactions that directly influence long-term returns and institutional credibility.
