The 110th meeting of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Venture Capital was held with the participation of the chairs of the Association’s commissions. In addition to reviewing current issues, the session provided an opportunity to recognize two influential contributors to the national innovation ecosystem: Dr. Mohammad Sadegh Khayatian (former President of the Innovation and Prosperity Fund) and Dr. Mehdi Elyasi (former Deputy for Policy-Making and Development of the Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy).

In the first part of the session, members reviewed past achievements, experiences, and shared memories, while highlighting the pivotal role of Dr. Khayatian and Dr. Elyasi in connecting capital and innovation. Their active contributions in strengthening enabling policies for knowledge-based companies, promoting transparency and governance in venture capital, and expanding cooperation between the private sector and development institutions were highly commended.

Subsequently, the board members expressed appreciation for their efforts in facilitating the growth of startups, building trust between investors and entrepreneurs, and supporting the development of the national innovation ecosystem. The importance of continuing similar collaborations in the future and leveraging the valuable experiences of these two figures to reinforce policy and executive structures of the innovation ecosystem was underlined.

Furthermore, the National Association of Venture Capital expressed its gratitude for their previous cooperation and announced plans to sustain this relationship and utilize their managerial and advisory capacities to achieve the Association’s objectives and enhance the position of venture capital in the country.
