The “Specialized Social Security Training Workshop” was held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, both in-person and online. Organized by the Iran Venture Capital Association and supported by the Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, the workshop hosted over 30 participants, including employers, financial and HR managers, and representatives of knowledge-based and technology companies from across the country. The primary objective of the workshop was to enhance employers’ and managers’ legal awareness regarding their obligations toward the Social Security Organization, providing practical training to prevent financial and legal risks and enable informed and effective decision-making within their organizations.

The program was designed to address real business challenges. Many innovative companies face issues such as accumulated debts, late payment penalties, unexpected inspections, and legal disputes with the Social Security Organization, requiring practical strategies for risk management. The workshop focused on employers’ rights and responsibilities, contractor agreements, legal proceedings, drafting defense statements, and analyzing key circulars to prepare participants for effective management of these obligations.

During the workshop, participants engaged with real case studies, circular analyses, live Q&A sessions, and practical exercises, all applicable to real business situations. Simultaneous online participation enabled stakeholders from other provinces to benefit from the training.

The workshop’s syllabus included:

  • Legal obligations of employers toward the Social Security Organization
  • Employers’ rights and authorities
  • Types of debts and handling procedures
  • Inspection processes for workshops and legal offices
  • Contractor agreements and associated responsibilities
  • Legal proceedings and potential adjustments to claimed insurance premiums
  • Drafting defense statements for dispute resolution boards
  • Analysis of Circulars 11 and 14 and their roles in cases
  • Methods for recovering debts from defaulting employers

The workshop was led by Dr. Hadi Akbari, CEO of Roshangaran Sahar Financial and Management Consulting Company. Drawing on practical experience and real case studies, he explained key aspects of social security laws and provided practical solutions to prevent legal disputes and manage obligations effectively.

By organizing this workshop, the Iran Venture Capital Association enhanced the legal and financial capabilities of innovation ecosystem actors and played a facilitative role in reducing legal and financial obstacles for companies. Close collaboration with the Vice-Presidency for Science and the Innovation and Prosperity Fund created effective synergy in responding to participants’ real needs.

Participants gained specialized knowledge, exchanged views, networked with peers, and received the opportunity to ask practical questions. Certificates of attendance were issued to all participants, formally documenting their participation in this specialized workshop.
