The 14th edition of the International Innovation and Technology Exhibition (INOTEX 2025) was held from April 28 to May 1, 2025, at Pardis Technology Park. As one of the most significant gatherings of the country\u2019s innovation and technology ecosystem, the event brought together a wide array of domestic and international participants, providing a platform for technological interaction, showcasing innovative products, attracting investments, and fostering collaborative partnerships.<\/p>
Although the National Venture Capital Association of Iran did not officially participate with a dedicated booth, it supported the event as an institutional sponsor by facilitating the presence and engagement of its members and affiliated companies across various sections of the exhibition. A wide spectrum of the Association\u2019s members\u2014including venture capital firms, research and technology funds, crowdfunding platforms, accelerators, and other innovation-focused financial institutions\u2014actively contributed to the exhibition. This form of institutional support was in line with the Association\u2019s mission to enhance investment in the national innovation ecosystem and promote effective engagement between investors and entrepreneurs, reinforcing its role as an enabler of targeted and impactful interactions.<\/p>
Specialised segments of INOTEX 2025, such as the \u201cInvestment Caf\u00e9\u201d, \u201cFuture Station\u201d, and \u201cConsultation Pavilion\u201d, enabled direct engagement between investors and investees. In these sections, the active presence of the Association\u2019s members\u2014including venture capital funds, accelerators, research and technology funds, and crowdfunding platforms\u2014demonstrated the Association\u2019s broad capacity to support innovation development.<\/p>
In the Investment Caf\u00e9, Association members held B2B meetings to present investment opportunities and evaluate proposed projects, playing a critical role in initiating early-stage negotiations between startups and investors. At the Future Station, several technology-oriented and investor members of the Association, particularly those operating in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, cognitive sciences, and fintech, took part in expert panels and shared insights that shaped discussions on transformative technologies and future trends. Meanwhile, at the Consultation Pavilion, representatives from various Association-affiliated institutions provided specialised advisory services in areas such as investment, legal and financial matters, business development, and innovation commercialisation.<\/p>
A notable aspect of INOTEX 2025 was its focus on innovative financing mechanisms\u2014an approach fully aligned with the mission of the National Venture Capital Association of Iran to promote diverse funding tools, mitigate investment risks, and build effective connections between entrepreneurs and funding sources. Venture capital (VC), corporate venture capital (CVC), and crowdfunding platforms were highlighted as three core financing models at the exhibition, with many Association members playing direct and influential roles in each.<\/p>
The exhibition hosted over 450 technology-oriented entities, including knowledge-based companies, startups, incubators, accelerators, and investment funds. The active involvement of foreign participants from regional and African countries such as Pakistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Nigeria marked a milestone in the advancement of technology diplomacy and cross-border collaboration. These international presences, along with B2B meetings held on the sidelines, paved the way for new opportunities in technology export and joint scientific and industrial ventures\u2014an agenda long championed by the Association in its commitment to fostering international linkages in innovative investment.<\/p>
Additionally, side events such as \u201cResearch Pitch\u201d (applied research festival), \u201cG-Forum\u201d (governance and regulation forum), and \u201cInnoNight\u201d (informal networking night) further enriched the interaction among innovators, policymakers, researchers, and private sector stakeholders. The presence of several Association members in these events\u2014through research presentations, innovation policy analysis, and experience sharing\u2014once again highlighted the critical role of specialised institutions in empowering the innovation ecosystem at every level of development. This mission remains at the core of the National Venture Capital Association of Iran\u2019s strategic efforts.<\/p>
