The national event \u201cAdvanced Iran: Reviving Technological Capacities\u201d was held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the Salam Hall of the Larak Complex in Tehran. The event was attended by Mohammad Mokhber, Advisor and Aide to the Supreme Leader and member of the Expediency Discernment Council, who delivered remarks on the importance of revitalizing knowledge-based enterprises. Senior representatives from the Advanced Iran Foundation, the National Development Fund, the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, as well as key stakeholders of the national innovation ecosystem, also participated in the event.<\/p>

In his address, Mohammad Mokhber emphasized the necessity of focusing on key economic indicators such as investment, inflation control, employment growth, productivity, per capita income, and GDP growth, highlighting the vital role of young professionals and knowledge-based companies in achieving these objectives. He underscored that national policies should simultaneously support emerging startups and strengthen more mature, high-capacity enterprises.<\/p>

Mokhber referred to science and technology as instruments of national empowerment and stressed the need for a stronger focus on technological productivity. He described the revitalization of knowledge-based enterprises as a national imperative and emphasized their role in addressing unemployment, developing small industries, and enhancing the country\u2019s economic resilience.<\/p>

During the event, 150 knowledge-based and technology-oriented companies discussed challenges and presented strategic solutions. Moreover, 50 investment firms and financial institutions announced their readiness to contribute to the financing and acceleration of these enterprises. Among the key outcomes were the signing of specialized memoranda of understanding to revive and expand at least 100 knowledge-based companies through facilities totaling 10 trillion IRR.<\/p>

Additionally, the \u201cCenter for Revitalization of Knowledge-Based Companies\u201d was officially launched under the Advanced Iran Foundation to lead efforts in restoring inactive and semi-active industrial units. The event also featured initiatives focused on boosting exports of knowledge-based companies, providing financial, managerial, legal, and judicial consulting through specialized support desks, showcasing emerging technologies, fostering technological partnerships, and enhancing collaboration between public and private sectors.<\/p>

This national event created an important platform for direct engagement among knowledge-based companies, investors, and support institutions, highlighting the capacities of Iran\u2019s innovation ecosystem. The Iranian Venture Capital Association (IRVC) participated in the event as an industry body, documenting trends, achievements, and opportunities in the venture capital sector. The exchange of insights and practical recommendations during the event offered a clear picture of existing challenges and opportunities, underscoring that the path toward sustainable development and enhanced economic resilience of knowledge-based enterprises remains both achievable and promising.<\/p>
